I'm in a great mood because I've been doing that random LJ stalking thing I like to do, and man, complete strangers are really entertaining today. Yes, yes, I'm a freak, let's move on.

So, I'm pretty pairing open. I don't really do the OTP thing, although I admit Xander is my favorite. But side pairings are going to be the death of me! I already have a weakness for the idea of Willow/Jenny Calendar... I mean, it just makes so much sense! And I'm tempted to have it in every early season story I write (you know, if I ever actually finish them, instead of just replaying that part where I have Willow wailing "I don't want to steal Giles' girlfriend!" and Xander saying "What? I meant me and Angel!"). And then, the other day, I was just cruising along not even thinking of fanfiction, and some devil on my shoulder started whispering about Giles/Hank... and oh. my. god. I really really want to put it in stuff, starting with CWTF. But I wring my hands and wonder if I'm putting in too many non-canon pairings? Oh, but it would be so much fun! I think I'm going to do it, it wouldn't be hard to work in, he could be meeting up with him in LA for dirty secret illicit weekends where he tells the Scoobies he's meeting up with a contact who might know something, and scrambling for his clothes actual demon research on late Sunday evening before he has to get back to Sunnydale. Besides, I need more slash to balance out the Buffy/Parker stuff, right? I mean, even Hank and Giles deserve love, don't they? And poor Joyce, she doesn't get any love, and I think she's still going to die in my season 5. Ohhh! But then Hank would have an excuse to move back to Sunnydale... because we don't want to yank Dawn and Buffy out of school and down to LA, right? Aaaaaand it just happens to mean he can sneak in more sex cuddles with Rupert. Yes, I'm definitely doing this. Possibly with Buffy walking in on it at some point. :::adores my newfound infrequently written pairing:::
