xanfan27's fic, Can I Keep Him? The title (Gentle Lead) refers both to Angel's gentle guidance of Puppy in this scene, and to an item used in actual puppy training; a 'gentle lead' is a device used to teach puppies not to pull impatiently at their leashes.
